Marketing and Events Coordinator 
We are looking for a dynamic, organised and detail-oriented person to join our team here at Benk + Bo as Marketing and Events Co-ordinator. 

About Benk + Bo
Benk + Bo is a project brought about by a love of community and hosting. Within our 3 floor Brutalist building in Spitalfields we have a cafe serving specialist coffee and fresh vegetarian food, a yoga studio, shared workspaces and members areas, a meeting room, piano practice room and facilities for events and photo shoots.

About The Role
The focus of the role will be split between the marketing and events side of the business, which in turn span across our cafe and catering offering, event spaces, fitness studio and co-working space. We are looking for someone with bags of enthusiasm and who always looks to go above and beyond. This is a really exciting time for Benk + Bo and so the ideal candidate would be looking to join us on this journey and bring a new and interesting range of skills and ideas to the role.

Digital / Content

  • Content creation and management - Creating the monthly newsletter, writing blog posts and curating relevant content from the team and our members.

  • Managing and updating our events calendar and listings - From public events listings on our website to events listed on partnered listing platforms.

  • Social media planning and development - Supporting on management of Benk + Bo’s social media platforms, creating and implementing systems and brand appropriate content.

  • Creating press releases and planning promotional material - Promoting the variety of different offerings, events and promotions through targeted press releases and complimentary promotional strategies. 

Events Operations 

  • Managing our events processes and admin once an event has been booked in through to invoicing, event organisation, payment and follow up. 

  • Obtaining feedback from and testimonials from clients and collating this information for monthly analysis.

  • Organising and managing the rota for events ensuring the correct Event Assistants, bar staff and servers are on shift.

  • Being the main point of contact for our event clients in the lead up to and during events.

  • Meeting and liaising with events clients, acting as a face and representative of Benk + Bo, showcasing the events space and promoting our offering.

Marketing & Events Admin

  • Managing and curating press and event contact list.

  • Sending out brochures to prospective clients and partners.

  • Organising and overseeing the creation of promotional material.

  • Working on developing a bank of ideas for future events, partnerships and sponsors.

Ad-Hoc Events Management 

  • Independently work at Benk + Bo events ensuring that clients have the best possible experience of the events space and offering. 

  • Ensuring that clients understand the building, making sure that their events run smoothly and that any issues are dealt with proactively and professionally. 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Someone who is enthusiastic and personable, a great communicator both face-to-face and in written form.

  • Extremely customer focused and always looking to exceed expectations. 

  • Previous experience with creating and curating creative content is essential. 

  • Organised, methodical and natural problem solver, comfortable with working independently and thinking on the go.

  • Very computer literate - ideally with experience using SquareSpace and Xero.

  • Previous experience in an events or hospitality environment, ideally in a supervisory role or with some experience of management. Experience in a client facing role is essential. 

  • Someone who understands and embraces the core values of Benk + Bo and is confident in communicating these to our customers.

Regular hours will be 9am - 6pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the opportunity to increase these hours on a weekly basis for our weekend and evening events. Flexibility and a willingness to work outside of normal office hours is essential. 

£21,000 - 23,000 pro rata - 24 hours per week
