Mens Indian Yoga Flow with Ravi

Mens Indian Yoga Workshop

Men have practiced yoga for thousands of years. Yet in the decades after yoga became more popular in the West, it initially had its wings clipped, side-lining much of its spiritual depth and physical potential; adopted by lycra-clad ladies on sunny Californian beaches. As a result it was ignored or dismissed by the vast majority of men and stereotyped as a rather passive, moderate and unchallenging exercise.

Today, the Western reinterpretation of yoga is finally being thoroughly investigated, exploited and confidently enjoyed. By both women and men alike. However, there remains a preconception that flexibility is compulsory - and that's where men often feel left behind.

During this 2-hour workshop specifically designed for men, Ravi will take you through a traditional Indian Yoga practice with a focus on postures and sequences best suited to men's bodies. The workshop will also include Pranayama breathing techniques for cleansing and energising the body and mind. The practice will be suitable for all experience levels, from complete beginners and advanced.

Tickets: £20

Yoga has changed our lives, and our friends and families' lives, for the better. Fact is we want more men to do yoga and get the same rewards. Hopefully so we flow... and Ravi will help make yoga more accessible and effortless for all men - beginners and experts, introverts and extroverts, fanatics and casuals.
