Join us for a Life Drawing Class with Gong Bath to rejuvinate under the Full Moon.

A Full Moon is a powerful time of gratitude, gracefully acknowledging the beauty of life itself and all you have brought into beingness. You may feel a burning desire to express your creativity, bliss out in sensual activities and through fierce yet profoundly tender vibrations let go of any aspects of your life that no longer serve the grandest vision of your Soul and we can explore that concept during this class.

It is for all levels whether you're already deep into a drawing practice or have never drawn before. The point is to feel free to express and explore that expression and experimentation, through presence. You may want to draw the whole class or you may want to lay down and close your eyes...the idea is to do what you want to do. There are no rules and no expectations.

I will be there to help and guide people if they need it and Siri Atma Anselmi will provide a Gong Bath backdrop to energise our cells into being.

What is a Gong Bath?

The Gong is a sacred and ancient instrument of healing, rejuvenation and transformation.... The gong also works deeply on the mental, emotional and spiritual bodies to purify and quieten the mind.

Our normal waking consciousness corresponds to the Beta state, which is our brain emitting waves between 13-30Hertz.

The feeling of relaxation and concentration is linked to the Alpha state, which sends waves between 8-13Hertz.

Then we can go into Theta state (5-7Hertz), associated with Rapid Eye Movement and release of muscular spasms and energetic blockages.

Last but not least, Delta state (0.5-4Hertz), emitting extremely low vibrations associated with deep sleep and other unconscious states.

So for the combination of a Life Drawing class - being in an observatory state, looking silently as an active meditation and drawing what we see whilst being enveloped in a state of tranquility. The Gong will send signals that are interpreted at biological, energetic and emotional levels, directing the cells to develop in a homeostatic state whilst stabilizing our energies.

Its a time for us to be fully present, embrace experimentation and enjoy the creativity we all have in ourselves.

All materials will be provided and there will be time at the end for chilling with each other/talking/leaving whatever you feel.

March Immersion will focus particularly on the Liver & Gallbladder.  According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Liver and Gallbladder are the organs associated with Spring. Come and detox the liver and boost the gallbladder with the safe and deeply therapeutic and relaxing practise of restorative yoga practise that rebalances the nervous system and invites renewal to organs. And bathe in the bliss of your breath and return to wholeness and complete peace of mind. Different from more active styles, this workshop concentrates on surrendering our weight to supports and softening into the stretches. This helps us to relieve the negative effects of stress encountered in daily life.  And can be highly beneficial in times of fatigue, illness, emotional strain and the constant stresses of modern living. Our focus will be to calm and nurture ourselves on all levels. The conscious relaxation and breath techniques taught can be used outside of yoga as well, encouraging us to take our practice off the mat and into our lives. These workshops are suitable for all from no yoga experience to expert, to those with injuries.  Prenatal participants are encouraged and catered for.

What to expect:
An integrated workshop offering multi-dimensional practises including Somatic movement - gentle, slow and mindful movement that focuses on the internal experience of the body as a way of reconnecting and re-aligning the mind and body through the nervous system.  Yin yoga poses that safely stretches deep connective tissue to release physical tension and any emotional blockages to free up the heart and re-balance the hips.  Five elements healing of Solar Plexus / Manipura chakra through soundscape experience.  And of course, not forgetting the deeply blissful practise of restorative yoga.  Benk + Bo also offers Chromotherapy aka colour therapy – it’s the use of colour to adjust body vibrations to frequencies that moves us into more harmonious balance.

The beauty of restorative yoga is that anyone can practise it. And everyone can benefit from old/young, mobile/sedentary, fit/injured, women/men. 5 Senses

The Japanese believe that food should be enjoyed with all five senses. The roles of taste and smell are self-evident, but it is traditional of Japanese cuisine to ensure that sight, touch and sound are also engaged fully.

5 Colours

Traditional Japanese cuisine seeks to use five specific colours: white, black, red, green and yellow in each meal. These colours are associated with Buddism, where each colour is steeped in symbolism. Incorporating these five colours not only serves to make each dish look attractive and thereby stimulates our sense of sight, but using a variety of different coloured ingredients also helps to ensure rich nutritional content.

DIVE INTO THE DEEP

Im so delighted to be hosting another workshop at the beautiful Benk + Bo!

In this workshop we will be exploring the creativity and intimacy in poses and breath. Experiencing the beautiful balance of Yin and Yang in the practice through working with Yoga poses in full freedom will allow you to deepen your understanding and experience in more than just poses. The workshop will teach you how to unleash your creativity in body and mind, working with Pranayama (breath work), Meditation, Vinyasa and of course finishing in Yin Yoga.

The big focus will be on the Manipura (solar plexus) Chackra, as that is the area where we hold our creativity. The feelings of love and happiness we feel in our heart actually originate in the Manipura Chakra and rise from there to the Anahata Chakra (heart centre).

Self-awareness and self-confidence are other pearls of the Manipura Chakra. Until we discover these pearls within us and raise them into the light we live in constant fear – fear that we will not be loved, that we will be a failure, fear of becoming ill, etc. An imbalance or blockage in the Manipura Chakra destroys our energy and triggers diverse physical and psychic problems. If we are unable to think clearly, to express our thoughts and feelings, or if our mind is foggy there is often a disturbance in the Manipura Chakra. So through creative movement and breath work we will be working on realising that imbalance! We will also be learning about the exciting subject of Prananic Energy, and how to incoroprate that knowledge to balance your centre!

This is an open level workshop. It's for you who are ready to experience the bigger spectrum of yoga, more than the poses on the mat. It's for you who are curious and are open to do the deeper work.

On 1st May 2019 Live Three Sixty turns 1 and I am celebrating with a live podcast event!  I will be answering questions posed by former podcast guests then delving deep in to conversation with Jessica Huie.

I could do the whole schpiel about Jessica being a teenage mum that went on to create an award winning career in PR, becoming a multi-entrepreneur with a brand that started early conversations about diversifying our high streets.  I could write paragraphs about Jessica being a highly sought after public speaker, ambassador for organisations with a social conscience and published author, ok I kind of have.  However these things are what she does, I will be having a conversation with Jessica about who she is and how all these elements have contributed to this.

Of course we will be discussing her book PURPOSE and what this means.  For many of us this book introduced us to Jessica the person at the centre of the accolades, roles and titles.  I will also be talking to Jessica about following the gentle nudges leading her to the hidden places within and how they are unfolding in her work and life.  The conversation will be wide ranging, open and insightful.

@hilde.stories and @caigerandco have teamed up to host an intimate and meaningful dinner experience at @benkandbo in aid of St. Cuthbert’s @refettoriofelix — an open-door drop-in centre feeding and caring for vulnerable and homeless people in West London

Launching on 21 March, the menu for this supper club series will focus on highly nutritious and macrobiotic elements, with a nod to nose to tail eating and a promise to only source ingredients from artisanal suppliers from in and around London.

The seasonal six-course menu will be served to up to 40 people who will be seated at two long shared tables. The whole event will be thoughtfully produced and designed by @hilde.stories, @stilllifeflowers and @caigerandco with the aim to offer a culinary and visual interpretation of ‘hope’ together with our partners @sixfoldstudiolondon @dearsafia @northfieldslinen @jessicawilliams.photography

Join us for a workshop where we will be sharing our top tips for making your own herbal tea blends. The workshop will guide you through the properties of a range of culinary, medicinal and wild herbs and how to combine them into unique blends. You'll get to blend and taste your own creations during the class as well as making a pack of herbal tea that you can take home! We'll also be sharing our tips for tea making materials and equipment.

  • Introduction to a range of herbs

Born out of ongoing research on the notion of intuition and a decade-long engagement with the creative process, this workshop explores curiosity, imagination and the intersections of work and wellbeing, while holding space for the alchemies of art-making to be openly discussed. Facilitated by Ellie Tsatsou, it is rooted in dialogue between the participants, as well as in integrating selected self-care practices, in line with the focus of each session. Approached from different angles, topics considered include:

Locating Distractions & Defining Attention: the role of stillness and silence
Ancient Wisdom: astronomy, oracles, dialectics and the quest for wonder
The Importance of Beauty: harmony, symmetry as change without change
Biology & Instinct: body intelligence, mirror neurons and neuroplasticity
Self-care Rituals: anatomy of spirit and toolkits for daily practice
Histories of Divination Techniques: methods and methodologies
Our Voice: breath work, language, heartbeat
Sacred Curiosity: poetic acts in the everyday

Restorative Yoga Workshop Immersion w/ Yoga Ling

March Immersion will focus particularly on the Liver & Gallbladder.  According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the Liver and Gallbladder are the organs associated with Spring. Come and detox the liver and boost the gallbladder with the safe and deeply therapeutic and relaxing practise of restorative yoga practise that rebalances the nervous system and invites renewal to organs. And bathe in the bliss of your breath and return to wholeness and complete peace of mind. Different from more active styles, this workshop concentrates on surrendering our weight to supports and softening into the stretches. This helps us to relieve the negative effects of stress encountered in daily life.  And can be highly beneficial in times of fatigue, illness, emotional strain and the constant stresses of modern living. Our focus will be to calm and nurture ourselves on all levels. The conscious relaxation and breath techniques taught can be used outside of yoga as well, encouraging us to take our practice off the mat and into our lives. These workshops are suitable for all from no yoga experience to expert, to those with injuries.  Prenatal participants are encouraged and catered for.

What to expect:
An integrated workshop offering multi-dimensional practises including Somatic movement - gentle, slow and mindful movement that focuses on the internal experience of the body as a way of reconnecting and re-aligning the mind and body through the nervous system.  Yin yoga poses that safely stretches deep connective tissue to release physical tension and any emotional blockages to free up the heart and re-balance the hips.  Five elements healing of Solar Plexus / Manipura chakra through soundscape experience.  And of course, not forgetting the deeply blissful practise of restorative yoga.  Benk + Bo also offers Chromotherapy aka colour therapy – it’s the use of colour to adjust body vibrations to frequencies that moves us into more harmonious balance.

The beauty of restorative yoga is that anyone can practise it. And everyone can benefit from old/young, mobile/sedentary, fit/injured, women/men. Join us for an empowering discussion as we take a delicious dive into Sacred Sexuality.

With a panel of experienced guest speakers, we will be breaking down societal conditioning around women and sexuality and exploring how we can harness sex and our sexual energy for our own spiritual growth and personal sovereignty.

Touching on ancient practices, feminine arts and tantric teachings using a modern approach we will share how you can integrate this innate part of your being into conscious living.

The evening will be hosted by Amy Lavinia White, founder of Temple of the Feminine, who will be sharing her own personal insights as well as reflections on the night.

Order of the evening

  • 7pm – Doors open and you’ll be warmly welcomed into the space and greeted by sensual delights for your enjoyment (think delicate Love teas, juicy fruits and decadent cacao bites)

  • 7.15pm – As guests begin to arrive you can enjoy mingling and making connections new friends or simply drop into the space, enjoying the soft and welcoming energy as well as the treats available to you.

  • 7.30pm – Guests will take their seats as your host, Amy Lavinia White guides a gentle meditation before introducing the evening.

  • 7.45pm – Our speakers will share their unique wisdom, tools and tips with the guests. Each guest will be given their own booklet with space to jot down any insights and gems that arise during this journey.

6 pm - Arrival and welcome

6:30 pm-7:30 pm - Yoga Flow set to a backdrop of authentic, calming yet uplifting Indian music. The class will be focused on 'sahaja' or guided free movement, which will allow the mind-body-soul to feel open, relaxed and ready for some deliciously nourishing food and drink. Complete beginners are more than welcome.

7:45-9: 30 pm - Sit down to a healthy vegan supper designed and cooked by Punjabi cuisine connoisseur Poonam from YSM8, which was was born out of pure love and respect for her culture, together with shining the light on nostalgic vegetarian foods. The cultivation of a communal spirit and sharing ideas will be, as always, at the heart of YSM8. The series of inclusive supper clubs events celebrate vegetarian Punjabi cuisine fused with global beats so expect some uplifting music and seriously good vibes. Dancing is always welcomed.

*10% of proceeds will be going to Ourmala, a wonderful charity that helps refugees and asylum-seekers rebuild their lives through yoga, which equally embodies both the YSM8 and LMJP YOGA spirit of inclusivity, diversity and community.

Fibre & Form: Natural Dyeing and Hand Spinning Workshop with SALT Textiles and Jessie Mason

This three-hour workshop explores the act of naturally dyeing different hand spun fibres. Covering all the skills and tools you need to know to begin colouring your own yarn and fabric at home.

Jessie Mason and Jordan (SALT Textiles) will explore sourcing organic dye matter, giving you knowledge about natural fibres and seed varieties, and equipment you’ll need.

Guided by Jessie, you'll be led through the stages of carding, spinning and mordanting in readiness for dyeing. With handspinning demos and further insight in the best fibres to choose and how to plan for your own projects.

With Jordan you'll gain a practical insight into the slow processes involved in making your own dyes from plant and food waste, experiencing first-hand how slow methods of making sit in relation to our fast-fabric culture today.

All guests will receive plenty of one-to-one teaching and will be provided with/given small skeins of hand spun wool and organic cotton to dye during the session.

All materials and equipment will be provided so you just need to bring yourself. There will also be a small bounty of snacks

The Compass of Self

As we enter a new exciting year we want to make sure that we are setting ourselves up for smooth success. I am a big believer in the power of manifestation, and the impact it can have on ones life.

In this workshop we'll practice Yoga Asana to ease up our bodies and minds. When we breathe and create space within, we can observe our thoughts more clearly. And when the stillness is there, movement shows up imminently. Along with yoga, we'll also explore guided meditation: Dharana, focus. The second part of the workshop will be journaling exercises. This is where we learn what manifestation is, how to manifest and the many ways of performing it. We will work with intention setting and explore some interesting questions and thoughts, along take-away home exercises for you to continue the exploration at home and through life.

Always remember that the four corners of your mat is a safe and sacred space for you to unfold your desires and feelings. This event is perfect for you who want to dream big and and embrace all life's different chapters. It's for you who arent afraid of exploring the corners of your mind and reaching to your full potential.

You often put yourself down, struggle with negative self talk, dislike things about yourself/your body, find it hard to receive a compliment, or are always trying to please others and worry about what people might think of you...Oh and rarely prioritise yourself?

Well, I've been there, done that and got the T-shirt. I spent many years self loathing and trying to desperately fit in and be liked, after years of being bullied. I know what it feels like to dislike yourself and feel like you are not good enough, to question whether it's you in your relationship, to say yes when you want to say no to fit in, to feel inadequate and to ultimately not have a sense of self worth. I bullied myself for many years and let my negative self talk and sabotaging behaviour hinder my life, work and relationships. I finally realised that if I wanted to have a loving relationship and if I wanted people to respect and value me, I had to first do this to myself. I decided to ditch the self loathing and start some self loving and guess what, I changed my life and relationship in the process.

But how do you do this I hear you ask....Well this is what my Recipe for Self-Love Workshop Brunch will teach you; Just how to start loving and nurturing yourself, so you can show up to the world as the wonderful, worthy woman you are, totally believing it. The key to living your best life lady, really is through loving yourself first.

This Workshop Brunch will give you the exact tools you need to head into 2019 doing more loving and less loathing and feeling more confident within.

THE EVENT

This is going to be a day of female empowerment at its finest. We will begin with a Coaching Workshop/Talk, where I will open up about my own experience and give you the exact ingredients I use myself and with my clients, to help them move past those feelings of 'not enough', into feeling more confident and connected to themselves. After this 75 minute Coaching Workshop, we will then move, love and appreciate our bodies as we Dance to the sassy tunes of the worlds biggest diva Beyonce. My Sassy, Sexy style will teach you how to move your body in an empowering way, making you feel like Queen Bey herself. This will be a heels Workshop, (because we feel so much sexier when we have a fabulous shoe on our feet) but don't worry of you've never danced in heels before because I will break down the moves in a simplistic way, so you grasp them, have fun and feel FABULOUS!

Once we've finished both workshops, we'll then head downstairs to have a lovely, delicious, lunch altogether, so we can chat and make new friendships. There is something so powerful when a group of likeminded women come together and it's my fave thing, chatting and connecting with you personally. This is your chance to feel inspired, motivated and empowered by each other as well as the opportunity to build new friendships.
