Mens Indian Yoga Flow with Ravi

Mens Indian Yoga Workshop

Men have practiced yoga for thousands of years. Yet in the decades after yoga became more popular in the West, it initially had its wings clipped, side-lining much of its spiritual depth and physical potential; adopted by lycra-clad ladies on sunny Californian beaches. As a result it was ignored or dismissed by the vast majority of men and stereotyped as a rather passive, moderate and unchallenging exercise.

Today, the Western reinterpretation of yoga is finally being thoroughly investigated, exploited and confidently enjoyed. By both women and men alike. However, there remains a preconception that flexibility is compulsory - and that's where men often feel left behind.

During this 2-hour workshop specifically designed for men, Ravi will take you through a traditional Indian Yoga practice with a focus on postures and sequences best suited to men's bodies. The workshop will also include Pranayama breathing techniques for cleansing and energising the body and mind. The practice will be suitable for all experience levels, from complete beginners and advanced.

Tickets: £20

Yoga has changed our lives, and our friends and families' lives, for the better. Fact is we want more men to do yoga and get the same rewards. Hopefully so we flow... and Ravi will help make yoga more accessible and effortless for all men - beginners and experts, introverts and extroverts, fanatics and casuals.

About Ravi

Ravi was born in India and from a young age he grew up with a yoga practice as part of his daily life. In his early twenties he lived at the Mahatma Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh where he studied traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga with well-respected Yoga master Yogi Ji. Ravi has been teaching all across India since 2010; most recently he was the resident teacher at Little Cove Yoga, voted as one of the best yoga schools in Goa, where he led classes for thousands of students from all over the world. In his work as a yoga teacher, Ravi is passionate about making the original principles of traditional Indian Yoga understandable for everyone.

Create your own Terrariums

Create your own Terrariums

Get your hands dirty and learn how to make a closed terrarium to decorate your home or office! A Terrarium is an indoor garden and is the perfect way to bring the outside indoors.

Good To Know

Terrariums are self-contained ecosystems. Heat and light pass through the glass walls and the plants photosynthesise. Condensation forms on the glass and drips down into the soil watering the plants.

Over 2 hours, you will learn how to assemble your terrarium, selecting from a range of plants and pebbles to make your terrarium totally unique. Note that cacti or succulents are not used in closed terrariums like this as they thrive in more open containers.

You will also leave the class with a handy care guide to help you preserve your terrarium for months and years to come!
