BENK+BO EVENTS TERMS

THIS IS A COMPACT VERSION OF OUR FULL BOOKING T+C’S COVERING OUR MAIN RESTRICTIONS. PLEASE READ OUR FULL TERMS + CONDITIONS HERE BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH YOUR BOOKING.

EVENTS CHECKLIST (OVERRUNNING, BREAKAGES + CLEANING)

THE EVENTS CHECKLIST OUTLINED BELOW MUST BE COMPLETED, SIGNED AND RETURNED TO THE BENK+BO EVENTS MEMBER OF STAFF BEFORE EXITING THE PREMISES. AN ADDITIONAL FEE OF £50 PER HALF HOUR IS PAYABLE IN THE CASE OF YOUR EVENT OVERRUNNING PAST THE ALLOCATED TIME SLOT AND MUST BE PAID IN THE TILL BEFORE LEAVING THE PREMISES.

THE ROLE OF THE EVENTS MEMBER OF STAFF IS TO ALLOCATE ACCESS TO THE BUILDING AT THE START TIME OF THE BOOKING, HELP WITH THE SETUP OF THE SONOS SOUND SYSTEM AND PHILIPS HUE LIGHTING, ASSIST WITH ANY EQUIPMENT OR BUILDING RELATED QUERIES AS THEY ARISE AND OVERSEE THE PACK-DOWN OF YOUR EVENT. THE RUNNING, PACK-DOWN & CLEAN OF YOUR EVENT IS UP TO YOU SO PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE HIRED APPROPRIATE STAFFING TO ENSURE YOUR EVENT RUNS SMOOTHLY (UNLESS OTHERWISE PRE-AGREED WITH EVENTS MANAGER).

THE SPACE SHOULD BE LEFT IN THE EXACT SAME CONDITION AND CLEANLINESS AS ON ARRIVAL, FAILURE TO CLEAN AND REMOVE ALL RUBBISH FROM THE FACILITIES FOLLOWING THE HIRE PERIOD SHALL RESULT IN A CLEANING FEE OF £150 PER HOUR.

ALCOHOL

ALCOHOL CAN ONLY BE SERVED AT CLOSED EVENTS.

ALCOHOL IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ON WEEKDAYS UNTIL 22.30.

ALCOHOL IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ON WEEKENDS UNTIL 23.00.

ALCOHOL IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE MONDAY-SATURDAY.

NO ALCOHOL IS EVER TO BE TAKEN OUTSIDE THE PREMISES.

NOISE

WE LIVE IN OUR RESIDENTIAL BUILDING SO IT’S SUPER IMPORTANT THAT YOUR PRESENCE DOESN’T DISTURB THAT OF THE LOCALS. FOR THIS REASON WE MUST FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING NOISE RESTRICTIONS:

MUSIC CAN BE PLAYED ON WEEKDAYS UNTIL 22.00 AND WILL HAVE TO GO UNDER 80 DBA ON OUR OWN SPEAKERS ONLY AFTER THIS TIME.

MUSIC CAN BE PLAYED ON WEEKENDS UNTIL 23.00 AND WILL HAVE TO GO UNDER 80 DBA ON OUR OWN SPEAKERS ONLY AFTER THIS TIME.

NO PA/DJ SYSTEMS ALLOWED (SPECIAL PERMISSION CAN BE GRANTED THROUGH APPLICATION TO OUR EVENTS MANAGER.)

NO MUSIC CAN EVER GO OVER 150 DBA AT ANY TIME. OUR EVENTS TEAM WILL MONITOR THE SOUND LEVELS THROUGHOUT ALL EVENTS. TWO WARNINGS WILL BE GIVEN BEFORE WE CUT ALL NOISE AND/OR MUSIC.

NO CROWDS OVER 5 PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE PREMISES AFTER 22.00.

ALL GUESTS MUST LEAVE THE PREMISES QUIETLY AND RESPECTFULLY TO RESIDENTS.

PUBLIC LIABILITY

YOU MUST HAVE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR YOUR EVENT.

ANY CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5 YEARS OLD MAY BE REFUSED ENTRY TO THE VENUE IF NOT ALREADY PRE-AGREED AND DISCUSSED WITH THE EVENTS MANAGER.

THE METAL STAIRCASE IN THE EVENT SPACE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR HIGH HEELED SHOES.

DELIVERIES + STORAGE

DELIVERIES MUST BE ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT AND ALL EVENT ITEMS BROUGHT ONTO THE PREMISES MUST BE REMOVED AT THE END OF THE HIRE PERIOD. DELIVERIES THAT COME BEFORE THIS WILL BE REFUSED.

LARGE SCALE EVENT UNLOADING MUST BE WITHIN THE PRE-BOOKED TIME SLOT. SMALLER ITEMS CAN BE BROUGHT ONTO THE PREMISES EARLIER ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

ADDITIONAL COSTS APPLY SHOULD YOU REQUIRE BENK+BO TO REFRIDGERATE YOUR ALCOHOL OR INGREDIENTS AHEAD OF YOUR EVENT.

ARTWORK + FURNITURE

THE ARTWORK DISPLAYED ON OUR WALLS ARE PART OF EXHIBITON AND WE DO NOT HAVE THE FACILITIES TO REMOVE FURNITURE WITHOUT PROFESSIONAL REMOVAL COMPANIES.

THE REMOVAL OF ARTWORK AND/OR FURNITURE MUST BE AGREED WITH THE EVENTS MANAGER NO LATER THAN 1 MONTH BEFORE THE EVENT IS DUE TO TAKE PLACE.

EXTERNAL STAFF MUST BE HIRED FOR THE REMOVAL OF ARTWORK + FURNITURE SO COSTS ARE CALCULATED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS.

KITCHEN

BENK+BO OPERATES AS A VEGETARIAN KITCHEN . PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHOPPING BOARDS + KNIVES IF YOU ARE COOKING MEAT AND/OR FISH AT YOUR EVENT. PLEASE BRING OIL FOR THE DEEP FAT FRYER IF YOU WISH TO USE THIS.

PAYMENT + CANCELLATION

50% DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO SECURE THE BOOKING AND THE REMAINING BALANCE MUST BE PAID NO LATER THAN 7 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT IS DUE TO TAKE PLACE.

CANCELLATIONS MUST BE CONFIRMED IN WRITING TO EVENTS@BENKANDBO.COM.

THE CLIENT SHALL PAY BENK + BO THE FOLLOWING CHARGES IN RESPECT OF THE HIRE FEE (CREDIT BEING GIVEN FOR THE AMOUNT OF THE DEPOSIT PAID):-

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION RECEIVED:

LESS THAN 72 HOURS PRIOR TO THE EVENT - 100% OF THE PRE-BOOKED TOTAL + STAFFING FEES

LESS THAN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT - 100% OF THE PRE-BOOKED TOTAL

BETWEEN 8-30 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT - 50% OF THE PRE-BOOKED TOTAL

BETWEEN 31-60 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT - 30% OF THE PRE-BOOKED TOTAL

BETWEEN 61-100 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT - 10% OF THE PRE-BOOKED TOTAL

BENK+BO STAFF MEMBER…

BENK+BO PROPERTY DAMAGE

FAILURE TO DECLARE BREAKAGES OR DAMAGES TO THE FACILITIES AND/OR EQUIPMENT WITHIN 24 HOURS WILL RESULT IN A £20 FEE PLUS THE COST OF REPAIRING ANY DAMAGE INCURRED.
